(Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test)

Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test. It is an eligibility test conducted by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TNTRB) for the recruitment of teachers for primary and upper primary classes in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

The TNTET exam is conducted in two papers: Paper I is for those who wish to teach classes I to V, and Paper II is for those who wish to teach classes VI to VIII. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions and candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify for the exam.

Candidates who qualify in the TNTET exam are awarded with an eligibility certificate, which is valid for a period of 7 years from the date of issue. This certificate is necessary for candidates who wish to apply for teaching jobs in the state of Tamil Nadu.
